I am a little late on this post but that’s what happens when you have a budding social life mixed in with nothing but work. No time for blog posts so here it is the scoop you have heard before.
The sequel to one of the worst films to be put out in 2009, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is going through another change. After we reported that all-around awesomely talented director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler) would be directing the sequel tentatively titled The Wolverine, Aronofsky just today withdrew from the project. His reasons? The film would leave him out of the country too long. The director is a family man and doesn’t want to be away from his family for that long. Well it’s alright I guess, because if you are a family man then you are a family man. The fact remains that the first film was a nightmare that some people actually loved and warranted a sequel almost immediately after it’s release. The fact though is this, the film would have a long shoot in Japan seeing as that was the next step in Wolverine’s life. The question though is when would they begin to shoot with the terrible recent tragedies that occurred in Japan of late. Fox though, as well as star Hugh Jackman, are committed to putting out another sloppy product anways so it doesn’t matter. The question is how soon can Brett Ratner direct this garbage. Wolverine is one of those staple characters in Marvel’s shed and they did what they did to him 2 years ago, might as well chop of his testicles too while you are at it.
