Remember how MGM or Miramax went under and all their licenses got thrown away due to it? Well they didn’t lose the licenses but their films were kind of shot in the foot. Films such as The Hobbit which now is being helped out by Warner but it turns out their biggest property, James Bond, the sexy British secret agent has a big piece of news for you.
It was recently announced that MGM had begun the production work on the untitled film currently called Bond 23. The previous two installments were sort of like a reboot for the series featuring Daniel Craig as the double 0 MI6 agent. The big difference in these two films (Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace) is that they both tied in with each other story wise.
MGM is keeping the story under wraps but did say it takes place after Quantum and will continue that arc. Sam Mendes is slated to direct the film with a script penned by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. Filming will be taken care of by Spyglass, since you know the whole bankruptcy thing for MGM.
The film now has a release date and that is…drum roll please
